curtains down on FIESTA 2010...

After nearly a week of exuberance FIESTA finally has a curtains down in LPU.Starting of with cleaning drive AIESECrs spread the moto of "चका चक काम्पुस" (sparkling campus) laying emphasis on how a person's surrounding defines his surrounding AIESECrs in LPU made sure that acting sustainably is not only a value AIESECrs adhere to but promote too.LPU witnessed its first only students initiated cleaning drive in the campus. The drive had to be carried on for two days as to clean and spread the message in the entire campus.
On the 21st was the much awaited Global Village AIESEC interns from Afghanistan,Mexico,Nigeria and Sri Lanka exhibited various aspects of their culture and nation along with foreign students of LPU from Bhutan and Sudan. The event was huge attraction for the students of LPU and the administration too.AIESEC here again proved how they envision to fulfill their vision of living diversity.

On Sunday the 23rd Jalandhar and the AIESEC INDIA witnessed the first AIESEC Express. The Express visited schools for differently able kids and a school for underprivileged children and organized painting competition and of course had a wonderful time with the kids there.AIESEC in LPU proved its worth to become agents of direct impacts on the society rather than much conventional indirect impacts .Each movement spend with those kids being life time treasures for every member who came forward overlooking their academic and other responsibilities .As previously planned the corporate dinner had to canceled due to some unfortunate events in the administration , but alas no worries the event still stands tall in everyone's memory even without the corporate dinner.
Special thanks to the Organizing committee of the event or better know as "9 SMOKING BARRELS" who worked through to make FIESTA 2010 etched in the pages of AIESEC INDIA and embedded in minds and hearts of many .
